Interested in being a Volunteer?
Have Dreams involves a community of volunteers unlike any other organization of its kind. Volunteers can become involved and participate in many unique ways:

Social Buddies

Every year, several members of the Chicagoland community volunteer as “social buddies” for Have Dreams students. We provide training for these volunteers to actively assist students during program activities and accompany the students to and from outings and events. This is a particularly rewarding volunteer experience for first-time volunteers who may still be in school themselves (middle school, high school or college).

Community Boards

Involvement on boards provides an opportunity for volunteers to share their specific expertise in the ongoing development of this non-profit organization. No matter what your background, vocation, or skill set, Have Dreams values the diverse involvement of the entire community and encourages new board and partnership board memberships.

Special Events & Fundraisers
As a non-profit dedicated to providing affordable programs for all children with autism, fundraisers provide an important source of income to sustain and develop current and future programs. There are several major fundraising programs a year, many of which have unique themes or events associated with them. Getting involved in these special events is a fun way for volunteers to participate either on an occasional level, or on a more regular basis, depending on what amount of time they have to give.

Special Projects

There are always new things happening at Have Dreams. And the next opportunity may start out as an idea from a volunteer. Get in touch with a Have Dreams member today and share your ideas.
